SHOOT 3D

What Is a 3D Shoot?
3D Archery takes the range into the woods, introduces unique shot angles, and creates new ways to have fun with a bow. 3D gets its name from the three-dimensional animal targets that challenge archers at each station. The targets range from small rabbits to massive elk, and are set along a course that resembles a hiking trail. Each shoot consists of 28 to 30 animal targets.
It typically takes an average of three hours to complete the entire course, but some offer shorter options.

How It's Done
Once you arrive and register, visit
the practice range to warm up then begin the course with your group. At the first target you'll see stakes at various distances to accommodate different age classes and skill levels. You begin by firing one arrow from your stake color of choice at each target. Once everyone in your group takes their turn shooting you’ll walk to the target, score your shot and pull your arrows. You then move on to the next target. This process continues throughout the course.

Score Your Shot
Each arrow is usually worth 0, 5, 8, 10 or 12 points. Archers earn 0 if they miss, and 5 points if they hit the body anywhere. They score 8 for hitting within the outer ring, 10 for hitting within the inner ring, 12 for hitting the small center ring. Rules vary by organization and classes, so check the rules before starting. Some allow rangefinders but others don’t. Knowing the shoot and course rules ensures you know what to expect. When you’re ready to try it, bring extra arrows and have fun.
